The strong winds that brought more rain to Jeffreys Bay also brought some solid waves for the JBay surfers, who took full advantage of their early Christmas present.
A 4 – 6 foot swell battered the coastline, with Supertubes delivering the goods over the weekend.
The local crew dominated the line up with the new guard of Dylan Lightfoot, Steven Saywer and Tobias Schroeder getting barrelled and carving the long walls of Supers alongside established locals like Dan Thornton, Craig Els and Deon Lategan.
The wind is expected to blow light onshore later today with the swell dropping over the next day or two.
