It is always good to know which airlines are voted the best to fly with.
The winners of the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2014 have been announced.
The awards are based on a consumer satisfaction survey conducted each year by Skytrax, an independent aviation research organisation.
The result were based on responses from 18 million air travellers from 160 countries, covering more than 200 airlines.
Cathay Pacific came out tops in the World’s Best 20 Airlines category.
In second place was Qatar Airways and in third, Singapore Airlines.
Local airlines featured as follows: SAA was named the Best Airline in Africa and Mango, the Best Low-cost Airline in Africa.

The World’s Best Airline in First Class: Singapore Airlines
The World’s Best Airline in Business Class: Qatar Airways
The World’s Best Airline in Economy Class: Asiana Airlines
The World’s Best First Class Airline Lounges: Air France
The World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounges: Qatar Airways
The World’s Best Airline Cabin Crew: Garuda Indonesia
The World’s Best Airline inflight entertainment: Emirates
