A fast moving strong cold front is expected to move through the Eastern Cape on Wednesday, reports RNews.
“Isolated showers, but scattered along the coast, can be expected over the western half of the Eastern Cape (west of Somerset East) in the morning.
“These isolated showers will spread to the eastern half of the province later in the afternoon,” described Garth Sampson, SA Weather Services Client Liaison Officer for the Eastern Cape.
“Snowfalls are expected on the high lying interior mountains (Sneeuberg from midday, Winterberg and Southern Drakensberg from evening).
“Cool to cold midday temperatures expected.”
Strong winds are expected over the entire interior of the Eastern Cape, with finds of 45km/h gusting 65km/h.
Gale force winds SW winds of 70km/hare expected along the coast.
“Anybody erecting tents or temporary structures are advised to take extra precautions.”
