Sharp work by the Jeffreys Bay detectives and Crime Intelligence Unit has seen seven suspects arrested for the murder of Gert Coetzee on Monday morning.

According to Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu three men were arrested on Tuesday and the other four on Wednesday.

The Jeffreys Bay CPF extended its thanks to the policemen who have been working around the clock to solve the case and even had to travel to the Western Cape to make some of the arrests.

Jeffreys Bay Police would like to appeal to the community to lay charges when crime occurs.  An incident occurred during the week where a suspected house breaker was caught inside a house but the owner declined to lay charges as nothing had been stolen.

The Police need help to remove these criminals from the streets and we, the community must play our part as well.
